Roy Bryan, 81, of Florence, passed away on January 3, 2025, at his residence. He was a dedicated truck driver, a proud member of the church of Christ, and a respected United States Army veteran.
Roy is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Bryan, his son Leon Bryan, and his daughters Dawn McMullan, Erina Galloway, Moira Bruce, Colleen Kirby, Oksana Joye, and Jennifer Bryant. He is also survived by his brothers Bays Bryan and Richard Bryan, along with 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin Vaughn Bryan and Hazel Sammons Bryan, his first wife and mother of his children, Eleanor Louise Bryan, and his daughter Barbara Jo Bryan Williams.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Crosspoint Church of Christ, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 pm, with Frank Mills officiating. Roy will be laid to rest at Emmaline Stutts Cemetery.
The pallbearers will be Tyler Bryan, Ian Bryan, Jared Bryan, Justin Galloway, Allen Bruce, and Tony Dean, with Shannon Kirby and Nicholas Southern serving as honorary pallbearers.
Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements. Roy will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
