Mary Elizabeth Thompson Hughes, 81, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on January 2, 2025, at Countryside Health and Rehabilitation. Mary was a beloved member of the community, known for her warm smile and kind heart. She was a retired waitress from Piccadilly Cafeteria and enjoyed creating greeting cards and collecting jewelry in her free time.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Earl and Bertie Gladys Cornelius Thompson, her brother Charles Franklin Thompson, and her sister Peggy Jean Thompson Nesbitt. She is survived by her son, Robert Hughes (Nadra) of Spicewood, TX, and her sisters Mauveline Mitchell and Deanna Pulley (Ray).
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, and a memorial service will be held at a later date to honor and celebrate Mary’s life. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
