Melissa Ann Hickman, 71, of Giles County, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at her home on January 31, 2025. She was born on March 13, 1953, at King’s Daughter Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee, to the late Cordia Dee Colvett and Alice Elizabeth Bennett Colvett.
Melissa had a passion for gardening, animals, and the outdoors. She was a dedicated Tennessee football fan and enjoyed baking for her family. She was known for her strong will and protective nature, especially when it came to her children.
She leaves behind a loving family who will carry on her memory: her children, Steve Hickman and Miranda Hickman; her grandson, Drake Hickman; her brothers, Gary Colvett and Kenneth Colvett; as well as six nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.
A service to honor Melissa’s life was held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee, with Rusty Colvett officiating. Melissa was laid to rest at Lucy-Roper-Colvett Cemetery in Giles County, Tennessee.
Her strength, love, and devotion to her family will be forever cherished.
