Robert Cyron “RC” Trammell Jr., age 102, of New Prospect, Lawrence County, TN, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026, at his home. He was born on January 5, 1924, in Dora, Alabama, to the late Robert Cyron Sr. and Grace Sloan Trammell. RC was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruth Frances Lanning Trammell, his sister Willodean Wright, and brother Billy Trammell.
He is survived by his brother Ted (Jane) Trammell, sons Bob (Carolyn) Trammell, Tim Trammell, and daughter Dianne (Nicky) Bowen. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives.
RC served in the Second World War, seeing action in four different theaters and earning a Purple Heart Medal. After the war, he bought a farm where he lived for the rest of his life. He worked at Murray Ohio bicycle plant until his retirement and was an active member of the community, participating in the Middle Tennessee Fair and traveling to all 50 states with his wife.
He was an elder at New Prospect Church of Christ and later attended Pulaski Street Church of Christ in Lawrenceburg. The family will receive friends at Neal Funeral Home on February 18, 2026, with funeral services and interment to follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
RC will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service to his country, and his active involvement in his community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
