Carl Wayne “C.W.” Perry, 79, of Ethridge, TN, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026, after a prolonged illness. He was a retired employee of Murray Ohio and a devoted member of Park Grove Baptist Church. Born and raised in Ethridge, TN, he was preceded in death by his parents, E.P. “Bud” and Caldonia Sudduth Perry, his son Kenneth Perry, seven sisters, and seven brothers.
He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Walters Perry, his son Phillip Perry (Joan) of Lawrenceburg, TN, two grandsons, Sean Perry (Jacki) of Cookeville, TN, and Bryan Perry of OK, as well as three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Carol Hawkins of Springfield, TN, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and friends.
The pallbearers for his funeral will be Steve Peters, C.D. Perry, Charlie Perry, Jonathan Pruitt, John Pruitt, and David Peters, with Park Grove Baptist Church’s deacons serving as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Neal Funeral Home on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 23, 2026, with Phil Perry and Ricky Cox officiating. His grandson, Sean Perry, will also pay tribute to his grandfather. Interment will follow at Blue Water Cemetery in Loretto, TN.
