Ruth Ellen Smith, age 77, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024, at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from Maurices, and a member of Highland Park Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Jackson and Reba Lou Randolph Price; her husband, Dwight Smith; and five siblings, Hugh Benton Price, Evelina Price, Emma Corina Price Faught, Bessie Richardson, and Esther June Price Gulley.
She is survived by two sons, Kevin Smith (Heather) and Keith Smith (Tammy), both of Lawrenceburg, TN; three granddaughters, Samantha Smith, Peyton Smith, and Cecilia Jane Smith, all of Lawrenceburg, TN; one sister, Jewell Johnson of Lawrenceburg, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Thursday, May 30, 2024, with Ricky Cotton officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Leoma, TN.
