Stanley Higdon, 73, of Summertown, TN, passed away on August 16, 2025, at his residence. He was a retired test base supervisor from Murray Ohio and a native of Lawrence County, TN. Stanley was known for his love of watching westerns and tending to his cows.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanford William Higdon, Sr. and Mildred K. Hicks Higdon, his wife, Barbara B. Higdon, one sister, Margie Newton, and one great-grandson, Weston Higdon.
Stanley is survived by his son, Wade Higdon (Amanda) of Center Community, TN, two sisters, Doris Newton of Summertown, TN, and Kathy James of Ethridge, TN, two grandchildren, Eric Higdon (Braxton) of Huntsville, AL, and Chris Higdon (Grace Young) of Summertown, TN, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home, with funeral services to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at New Salem Cemetery in Summertown, TN. Condolences may be sent through the funeral home’s website at www.nealfuneralhome.net.
