Dr. Joseph Gray has been appointed as the next Director of Bands at the University of North Alabama (UNA), with his tenure beginning on May 1, 2026. In this role, Gray will also serve as an Associate Professor of Music at the university.
Previously, Gray held the position of Associate Director of Bands at UNA from 2019 to 2025. He will lead the Marching Pride, the university’s marching band, in his new capacity. Recognized as a trumpet specialist, Gray brings extensive experience in music education to this important position.
