William Dale Hess, 87, of Toney, AL, passed away on January 21, 2026. Born in Scottsboro, AL, Dale was a retired Accountant and a proud United States Naval Veteran. He enjoyed playing golf, selling used cars, and watching various sports.
Dale is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Kaye Burks Hess, and his sons William Todd Hess and Christopher Joey Hess, along with his very special daughter-in-law Michelle Hess. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Christopher Ryan Hess and Christian Daniel Hess, and his daughter-in-law Laci.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Cal Hess and Ora Childress Hess, and his brother C.G. Hess.
A graveside service will be held for Dale on Friday, September 13, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. at Lone Cedar Cemetery with Full Military Honors. The service will be officiated by Bro. Stan Dean. Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Dale will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
