In Lawrence County, a man is facing multiple charges after a pursuit that unfolded over the weekend. The incident began when deputies from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a burglary in progress at a property on Prosseer Road on Saturday.
Upon reaching the scene, deputies spotted a small blue four-door passenger car in the driveway with two individuals inside. The driver of the vehicle then proceeded to drive through a yard and onto Horseshoe Bend Road, initiating a pursuit that led law enforcement through several roads, resulting in property damage at various locations. Eventually, the pursuit was terminated in consideration of public safety.
Following the pursuit, deputies returned to the original property to assess the damage caused. Shortly after, a report came in regarding the suspect vehicle, which had been abandoned on Dunn Fall River Road. One of the property owners was able to identify the suspect, leading to the issuance of warrants.
The male suspect, who had three prior warrants in Lawrence County, has been charged with evading arrest, two counts of vandalism, and reckless endangerment. The authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
