Barbara B. Higdon, 71, of Summertown, TN, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at her residence. She was a retired Timekeeper with Murray Ohio and had a passion for reading and animals. Barbara was a native of Wayne County, TN, and was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie Eugene and Nevada Pearl Beatty Brown.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley Higdon; one step-son, Wade Higdon; two step-grandsons, Eric Higdon and Chris Higdon; one sister, Beverly Philpot (Cliff); three nieces, Star King (Bronson), Ann Paley, and Cynthia Anne Brown; three great-nieces, Brianna Snider, Kaylee Vanetten (Tony), and Kinley King; and one great-nephew, Clay Hardy.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home, with funeral services to follow at 1:00 PM, conducted by Kent McDowell. Interment will be at New Salem Cemetery in Summertown, TN. Condolences may be sent via the funeral home’s website at www.nealfuneralhome.net. Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.
