Gene Green, age 91, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. Gene was a native of Lawrence County, TN, and a devoted member of the Methodist faith. He found joy in fishing and playing golf.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Green and Ora Smith Green. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Ora McGuire Green of Lawrenceburg, TN; his son, Jeff Green (Carolyn) of Tupelo, MS; two cherished grandchildren, Patrick Green of New York, NY, and Anna Green of Minneapolis, MN; and his dear sister, Joan Short of Lawrenceburg, TN.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Services will be conducted at a later date. Condolences may be sent via the funeral home’s website at www.nealfuneralhome.net.
Gene will be remembered for his love of family, his dedication to his faith, and his passion for outdoor activities. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
