Doris Geralgean Weaver Lipscomb, age 95, passed away on August 18th, 2025, at Southern Tennessee Regional Hospital in Lawrenceburg, TN. Gean, as she was affectionately known, was a beloved resident of Lawrenceburg and a devoted member of Westpoint Baptist Church. She was an avid bowler and a dedicated member of the Tuesday bowling league for over 52 years.
Gean was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her parents, Walker and Mary Jo Weaver; and her siblings, Sharon Brewer and Marshall Weaver. She is survived by her daughter, Vanta Moore (Al) of Lawrenceburg, TN; sons, Gary Lipscomb (Kimm) of Sommerville, TN, and Don Lipscomb (Joyce) of Fayetteville, TN. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Christy Moore of Lawrenceburg, TN; Kayla Buie (Craig) of Lawrenceburg, TN; Jessica Arroyo (Anthony) of Lancaster, CA; Rebecca Lipscomb of Memphis, TN; and Kenna Dillion and Maddie Dillion of Fayetteville, TN.
Arrangements are being handled by Loretto Memorial Chapel in Loretto, TN. The family will receive friends and family from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, August 20th, 2025. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 21st, 2025, at 1:00 pm, with Brother Jerry McLain officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.
Doris Geralgean Weaver Lipscomb will be dearly missed by all who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
