Doris Irene Chrysler Imes, age 96, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024, at her residence. She was a native of Chicago, IL, a retired dental assistant, a homemaker, and of the Methodist Faith. Doris was a dedicated volunteer in her church and community; and received the Clara Barton Award for volunteer service. She also enjoyed traveling and was an avid game player.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Taylor Pete and Marion Ogorzelec Chrysler; two daughters, Patricia Ann Callin and Pamela Jean Eckenrode; one brother, Richard Taylor Chrysler; one step-son, William Richard Imes, Jr.; and one step-daughter, Carol Sue Fisher.
She is survived by her husband, William Richard Imes of Lawrenceburg, TN; two daughters, Paula Kay Byerly of Fayetteville, TN and Penny Sue Hughes (Stephen) of Lawrenceburg, TN; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and fifteen step-great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Friday, July 19, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Funeral services will be conducted at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 12:00 PM Friday, July 19, 2024, with Henry Johnston officiating. Inurnment will be held at Georgia National Cemetery at a later date. The family suggests memorials be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
