Genesis Renee Barnett, 48, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on May 10th, 2026. She was born on November 12th, 1977, in Fort Hood, Texas. Genesis worked as a pharmaceutical representative for CVS Specialty and was known for her love of being a Gigi to her grandchildren. She was a member of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her children, Brian Barnett, Teresa Tease, Zackary Barnett, Justin Barnett, Shyanna Barnett, and Peyton Barnett, as well as her mother, Wanda London, and her sisters, Emily Mitchell and Marie. She also leaves behind special friends, Jody and Starr.
Genesis was preceded in death by her husband, father, and sister-in-law.
Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be handling all final arrangements. A memorial service will be held at a later time.
