Georgia Mae Childress, age 74, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024, at Southern TN Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg, TN. She was a native of Leighton, AL, retired from Taste of the Town, and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was preceded in death by her father, Junior Jackson Lewis; and her husband, Harry Childress.
She is survived by one daughter, Markita Childress of Lawrenceburg, TN; one son, Peter Owens of Lawrenceburg, TN; eight grandchildren, Cerenity Childress, Kyleah Cunningham, ZaNylah Southward, Katelyn Grooms (Byron), Chris Davis, Marquitta McCoy, Ledevin Davis, and Jeremy Cole; four great-grandchildren, Kreston, Alex, Carter, and Brooklyn; her mother, Mattie Lee Madden of Leighton, AL; one brother, Recordia Madden of Leighton, AL; two sisters, Barbara Wallace (Michael) of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Ann Madden of Leighton, AL; several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM Friday, April 05, 2024, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 06, 2024.
