Chapelyn June Burns, 85, of Killen, passed away March 30, 2024, at her residence. She worked in the healthcare field as a nurse assistant and was of the Christian/Methodist faith.
Survivors include:
Sons: Alfred Edward Burns & Jerry Thomas Burns
Daughter: Mary Belinda Burns
Brothers: Robert Johnson(Ellaree) & George W. “Porgie” Johnson(Donna)
Sister: Diane Handback
(11) Grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren
Preceded in death by:
Husband: Alfred E. Burns
Parents: George W. Johnson & Mary Elaine Warren Johnson
Sisters: Patricia Chandler & Barbara Greenhill
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 3, 2024, from 5:00 – 8:00pm, at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 2:00pm, in the funeral home chapel, with Joshua Clayton officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to say a special thanks to: her loving sister, Diane Handback, for always being there for her and being her best friend, our pastor, and to Greg Terry for coming and serenading her.
