James “Jimmy” Ferguson, age 78, of Pulaski, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025, at his residence. He was born in Roanoke, VA, on January 22, 1948, to Ford “Rocky” Zigler Ferguson and Stella Mae Adams Ferguson. Jimmy retired from Gabriel and was a member of the House On The Rock Church of God of Prophecy, where he played the drums in praise. He is preceded in death by his parents, “Rocky” Ford and Stella Ferguson, his wife Joyce Ferguson, his brother Billy Ferguson, and his sister Beverly Kimbrough.
Visitation will be held from 1:30-2:30 pm on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at House On The Rock Church of God of Prophecy, with a Memorial Service following at 2:30 pm. Jimmy is survived by his sons Ken and Jody Ferguson, both of Pulaski; daughter Shannon Russ (Don) of Minor Hill; sister Sharon Smith of Pulaski; grandchildren Michael and Deeanne; 3 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters-in-law Carol Ferguson of Prospect, Betty Pope of Prospect; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Carr and Erwin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
