Jannette “Janet” Ridgeway, 80, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on Thursday, June 05, 2025, at her residence. She was a retired secretary from Jennings Farm, Inc., and had also worked for Dr. Henry Thomas and Crockett Hospital. Mrs. Ridgeway was a member of Coleman Memorial United Methodist Church and had served her country in the Women’s Army Corps.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Speakman; her mother, Velma Bassham Speakman; her husband, Howard Ridgeway; her brother, Huron Speakman; and her sister-in-law, Jan Speakman. She is survived by her niece, Susan Pinnon of AZ; great-niece, Katressia Regione of AZ; great-nephew, Nicholas Pinnon of AZ; great-great-nephew, Blake Regione of AZ; cousins, Melody McKissack (Mark) of Leoma, TN, Kathy Crowell (David) of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Marie Townsend of Florence, AL; and step-daughter, Kim Price of Lawrenceburg, TN.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, and the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, June 08, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 4:00 PM on Sunday, June 08, 2025, with John Horne officiating.
