Betty Jean Staggs, 79, of Summertown, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025, at her residence. Born on October 21, 1945, in Lawrence County, Betty was the daughter of the late Clivous Favors and the late Josephine Clifft Favors. She cherished the simple joys of life, finding happiness in the outdoors, picking blackberries, cooking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her sons, James Darrell Staggs and Jimmy Staggs, brother, Randall Favors, sister, Pat Marshall, ten grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Staggs, and sister, Gail Renfro.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Summertown Cemetery. Condolences can be shared with the family at the Heritage Funeral Home website: www.TnFunerals.com.
