Junior “Hippie” Ellison, age 72, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025, at Southern TN Regional Health System. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, known for his dedication to his family and his successful business, Ellison Signs. Junior was a native of Martin, TN, and a faithful member of Faith Church. He had a passion for golf, pool, and cards, and was known for his friendly and outgoing nature.
Junior is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, JoAnn Goolsby Ellison; his son, Chad Ellison; his daughter, Jodi Long (Shane); three cherished grandchildren, Jake Smith (Leighton), Jaden Ellison, and Luci Long; and one great-granddaughter, Mia Smith, all of Lawrenceburg, TN. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a multitude of friends whom he held dear.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at The WLX Country Cafe, with a Celebration of Life to follow at 4:00 PM.
