Floy Ray Beckum Mobbs, 87, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on August 20, 2025, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN. Floy was a devoted homemaker and a cherished member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She found joy in her family, reading, quilting, watching Atlanta Braves baseball, and playing bingo.
Floy was preceded in death by her parents, James Thomas and Naomi Elizabeth “Betty” Lindsey Beckum; her husband, Charles Kenneth Mobbs, Sr; her son, Charles Kenneth Mobbs, Jr; three brothers, Tommy Beckum, Billy Beckum, and Bobby Beckum; and four sisters, Marie Young, Ava McMeen, Eva Coffee, and Joy Waufford.
She is survived by honorary son, Ben Boston; six grandchildren, Kaitlin Elizabeth Mobbs, Justin Bramel, Kate Boston Melby, Caroline Boston Vicini, Wyatt Boston, and Hallie Boston Hoffmeyer; twelve great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Beckum; one daughter-in-law, Lynn Mobbs; one brother-in-law, Edward Waufford; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Neal Funeral Home on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with funeral services to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN. Floy will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
