Justin “Spanky” Dickson, 42, of Summertown, TN, passed away on March 7, 2025. Born in Lawrenceburg, TN, he was a passionate history buff, an avid hunter and fisherman, and had a deep interest in weapons and military. Justin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Ruby Dickson and Betty Smith.
He is survived by his parents, Danny and Judy Smith Dickson; his son, Hudson Dickson; his brother, John Dickson (Crystle); his grandfather, William “Bill” Smith; his ex-wife, Jenny Lynn Norman Dickson; his ex-in-laws, Don and Jeanette Norman; his nephews, William, Mac, Jackson, and Jake; his niece, Tatum; his girlfriend, Angela Kittrell; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and Chasity Dickson.
The pallbearers will be Kris Smith, Michael Smith, Ethan Smith, Drew Smith, Chris Perkins, Kevin Perkins, and Josh Freeman. Honorary pallbearers include Michael Waldrop and Scott Howell.
Visitation will be held on March 12, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Neal Funeral Home, with funeral services following at 3:00 PM. Interment will take place at Freedom Cemetery in Mount Pleasant, TN.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Justin’s memory. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
