Larry Ray Brown, 76, of Florence, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at NAMC. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Larry was a proud graduate of Lauderdale County High School and served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era. He was a dedicated Machinist in the Machinist Local 65 and retired from TVA.
Larry was preceded in death by his son, Steven Brown, and his parents, Oscar and Evelyn Slaton Brown. He is survived by his beloved wife, Bobbie Brown, and his children, Tammy James, Michael Brown (Jill), Brian Brown, and Kevin Emerson (Stacey). He also leaves behind several cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as his special nephew and friend, Brock Brown.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025, from 11 AM to 1 PM at Elkins East Chapel, followed by a funeral service in the Chapel. Those who wish to offer condolences may do so at www.elkinsfuneralhome.com.
Larry will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
