Lawrence Edward Ellis, 86, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025, at his residence. He was a retired employee of Awery’s Bakery and a devoted member of Gandy Church of Christ. Lawrence was born in Logan County, WV, to Fred and May Bryant Ellis. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Laura Ann Rochelle Ellis, and their daughter, Laura Kathleen Witkowski.
He is survived by his son, Lawrence Keith Ellis of Howell, MI; six grandchildren: Laura Hulk, James Gower, Jesse Witkowski, Lawrence Kenneth Ellis, Michael Ellis, and Judy Ellis; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers: Robert Ellis of MI, Roger Ellis of AZ, Fred Ellis of MI; and two sisters: Carol Sue Powers of FL and Ruth Ann Madigan of AZ.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, and the family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 04, 2025, at Gandy Church of Christ. Funeral services will be conducted at Gandy Church of Christ at 3:00 PM on the same day, with Larry Murdock officiating. Interment will follow at Rochell Cemetery in Westpoint, TN.
