Leo Lavie Garrett, 80, of Moulton, Alabama, passed away on August 9, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Garrett, his parents, Lavie and Catherine Garrett, and his nine brothers and sisters, as well as nine brothers and sisters-in-law. He is survived by his daughters, Vickie Chittam and Susan Norman (Steve), grandsons Blake Hokett and Collin Chittam (Jayme), great-grandsons Jaiden Hokett, Jaxon Barrett, and Cooper Chittam, and great-granddaughter Claire Chittam, along with many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 11 AM to 12 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home in Decatur, with the funeral service to follow at 12 PM in the chapel. Burial will take place at Midway Memorial Gardens. The family expresses gratitude to those who provided support and kindness at NHC and to Hospice of the Valley. Pallbearers will include Blake Hokett, Jaiden Hokett, Collin Chittam, Jerry Cottingham, Allen Amerson, and Branden Freye-Terrell. Elkins Funeral Home is honored to assist the family.
