Linda Gail Michael Sharp

Linda Gail Michael Sharp, 76, passed away May 10, 2024.  She was formerly from Rogersville, AL, and Trinity, AL.  She worked as a custodian for Lauderdale County High School, Rogersville, AL, and Cedar Ridge Middle School, Decatur, AL, where she retired after 25 years of combined service.  She was a member of Cross Brand Cowboy Church.  She loved her family and being able to spend time with them.

Survivors include:

            Daughter:  Teresa Thigpen (Greg) – Lexington, AL

            Son:  Darren Sharp (Joan) – Athens, AL

            Grandsons:  Nathan Thigpen (Claudia), Zack Thigpen & Trenton Sharp (Jurnee)

            Great grandchildren:  Caroline Thigpen & Carter Thigpen

            Step-granddaughter:  Mackenzie Walton

            Best friend:  Charlene Tidwell (Vern)

            Sisters:  Jenny Lovell, Gloria Michael & Sheila Redding (Danny)

            Brother:  Delbert Michael (Brenda)

            Several nieces & nephews

Preceded in death by:

            Father of her children:  James Kenneth “Moose” Sharp

            Parents:  Otis Leo Michael & Sylvia Elizabeth Davis Michael

            Brother:  Jerry Lyndon Michael

Visitation will be on Monday, May 13, 2024, from 5:00 – 8:00pm, at Greenhill Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 11:00am, in the funeral home chapel, with A.J. Lester officiating.  Burial will be at Pettus Cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be:  Anthony Michael, Greg Lovell, Dustin Redding, Anthony Sharp, Rodney Sharp & Ronald Sharp.

Honorary pallbearers will be:  Craig Michael & Jastin Redding.

Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
