Linda Sue Hamilton, age 80, of Loretto, TN, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025, at Maury Regional Medical Center. She was a beloved member of the community, known for her skills as a seamstress and her dedication to Freedom Church of Christ in Summertown, TN. Linda’s funeral service will be held at Loretto Memorial Chapel on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 1:00 pm, with Jeff Smith officiating. She will be laid to rest in John Lay Cemetery following the service. Visitation will take place from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on the same day at Loretto Memorial Chapel.
Linda is survived by her loving children, Jimmy Hamilton (Tina) of Summertown, TN, and Jennifer Hallmark (Ronnie) of Loretto, TN. She is also survived by her brother, Harvey Pratt of Tullahoma, TN, as well as a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, J. E. Talmadge Pratt and Flora Mae Guthrie Pratt, her husband of 41 years, Clifford “Pete” Hamilton, her son, Jerry Wayne Hamilton, and her infant sister, Doris Faye Pratt, as well as her sister-in-law, Carol Pratt.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Southern Regional Hospital doctors and nurses, Air Evac (Muscle Shoals), Air Evac team Lawrenceburg, and the Maury Regional Hospital CCU, including all the doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists, and everyone involved.
Linda’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers, honoring her memory and the love she shared with her family and community. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
