Linda Faye Huntley Smith, 82, of Leoma, TN, passed away on July 12, 2025, at St. Thomas West Hospital. Linda was a beloved member of the community, known for her dedication to various organizations and her faith. She was a talented hairdresser and an active member of the Lawrence County Arts Commission, Loretto Eastern Star #472, Lawrence County Gospel Music Association, Copperas Branch Community Club, and the Board of Trust for Oak Hill Cemetery. Linda was also a devoted member of Christian Fellowship Church in Centerpoint, TN.
Funeral services will be held at Loretto Memorial Chapel on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 3:00 pm, with TR Williams, Jake Hollis, & Renee Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Loretto Memorial Chapel.
Linda is survived by her son, Anthony Adams of Leoma, TN, and her daughters Linda Lee Miller (Rick) of Leoma, TN, and Renee Taylor (Randy) of Minor Hill, TN. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Carrie Motley (Jason), Destiny Hollis (Jacob), Jodi Stevens (Scott), and Chase Miller, as well as ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, James Smith, her parents Bill and Sylvia Plemons Huntley, her brothers Harley, William F, Merrel, and JR Huntley, her sisters Gertrude Price and Nell White, and her great-granddaughter August Motley.
Linda will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her legacy of love, faith, and community involvement will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
