Lona Powell, 96, of Ethridge, TN, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at her residence. She was a homemaker and of the Christian Faith. Lona enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, and making crafts. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert William and Mary Haynes Landers, and her husband, Everett Hollis Powell. Lona is survived by her daughter, Diane Long, and four sons, Dwight, Terry (April), Jeff (Debbie), and Gary (Belinda) Powell. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, September 15, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home, with funeral services to be conducted at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at the same location. Interment will follow at Old Ethridge Cemetery in Ethridge, TN. Condolences may be sent via the funeral home’s website at www.nealfuneralhome.net. Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.
