Margaret Faye Barnes Henson

Margaret Faye Barnes Henson, age 94, of Brentwood, TN, passed away on January 17, 2026, at NHC in Franklin, TN. She was born on January 15, 1932, in Summertown, Tennessee, to Thomas Alexander Barnes, Jr. and Alma Louise Barnes. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Wallace Harding Henson.

She is survived by her daughter, Rosemary Henson Staggs (Bruce) of Franklin, TN; son, Thomas Barnes Henson (Barbara) of Charlotte, NC; granddaughter, Margaret Jane Staggs Strelecki (Chris) of Franklin, TN; grandsons, Andrew Harding Henson (Lindsey), Thomas Breckenridge Henson (Liza), Blair Barnes Henson (Kaley), and Jackson Lane Henson (Kate) all of Charlotte, NC; nine great-grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.

Margaret graduated from Summertown High School and Nashville Business College. She retired from SunTrust Bank after 26 years of service. Margaret was a member of various organizations including First Methodist Church in Lawrenceburg, TN, FCE Club, DAR, Prudence Hall Daughters of the American Colonist Chapter, Crockett’s Forge Seat 1812 Chapter, The Clarendon Chapter Colonial Dames 17th Century, Southern Dames of America, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Magna Charta Dames and Barons, Indian Wars, and The Huguenot Society of Tennessee.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, and the funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home with interment to follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN.
