Virginia Carol Cox Barnes, 86, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Southern TN Regional Health System. Virginia was a dedicated member of the Church of Christ Faith and retired from NHC Healthcare Lawrenceburg. She was known for her years of factory work and her passion for gardening.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Flournoy and Lola Grace Braly Cox, two sisters, Ona Belle Cox Faulkner and Reba Cox Leighton, one brother, Paul Cox, and her daughter, Vicky Barnes. She is survived by her two sons, Randy Barnes (Vicky) of Westpoint, TN, and Todd Barnes (Lana) of Lawrenceburg, TN; four grandchildren, April Judkins (Bo), Brianna Kelly, Jay Barnes, and Callie Barnes; and five great-grandchildren, Gracie Burchell (Peyton), Anniston Judkins, Blake Judkins, Chance Kelly, and Jacer Kelly, as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Neal Funeral Home on Sunday, May 11, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 12, 2025, with Keith Barnett officiating. Interment will follow at Black Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN.
