Martha J. Brown Ayers, 76, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on November 25th, 2025 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Martha was born on July 6th, 1949, to the late George Andrew Brown and Bertha J. Brown in Lawrenceburg. She dedicated many years to serving as a Registered Nurse and found joy in tending to her chickens and animals, working outdoors, and spending time with her family and friends. Martha was a faithful member of Center Point Baptist Church and was of Baptist Faith.
She is survived by her children, Tamara Lee Ayers, Kevin Scott Ayers, and Randall Warren Ayers; siblings, Kathy Dishongh (James) and Bobby Brown (Brenda); several nieces and nephews; close niece, Deborah Alexander, and special friend, Kelly Seymore. Martha was preceded in death by her husband William Ronald “Ronnie” Ayers, and her siblings Jewell Andrew Brown, Dayton Brown, Buddy Brown, Mildred Estes, Myra Newton Brown, Opaline Woodside Brown, Marie Brown Howell, Ruth Brown Watson, and Caroll Anne Brown.
In honor of Martha’s memory, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home is handling all final arrangements. Martha will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
