Morris Glen Allen, 83, of Florence, AL, passed away on February 11, 2025, after bravely battling cancer. A native of Lauderdale County, Morris was a dedicated sheet metal worker for TVA and a proud member of Local #48. He was also a graduate of Rogers High School and a faithful member of Glendale Church of Christ.
Morris is survived by his loving wife, Faye Wesson Allen, with whom he joyfully celebrated 62 years of marriage in December. He is also survived by his sons: Mark Allen (Holly), Micah Allen (Candy), and Max Allen (Megan); grandchildren: Seth (Taylor), Hunter (Allison), Chloe, and Zack; brothers: Travis Allen (Joanna), Dennis Allen (Sherry), and Bobby Allen (Maureen); and sister-in-law, Sharon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, A.D. and Ruby Allen; in-laws, Thomas and Annie Mae Wesson; great-grandson, Nolan Allen; and brother, Terry Dale Allen.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Ben Siegel officiating. Morris’ sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Burial will take place in Shiloh Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Morris Allen.
