Renea Cates McGee, 54, of Anderson, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, June 28, 2025. She is survived by her daughters, Megan (Chris) Wright, Danielle (Taylor) Thigpen, and her beloved grandson, Charlie Thigpen. She is also survived by her mother Ann Cates, brother Charles “Punkin” Cates, sister Monica (Michael) Mason, and numerous nieces and nephews. Renea is now reunited with her late husband Troy ‘Tank” McGee and her father Charles Cates.
Visitation for Renea will be held at Greenhill Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 5:00pm – 8:00pm. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 11:00am, with Jerry Marlow officiating. Burial will follow at Bluewater Cemetery in Center Star.
Pallbearers will be John Mason, Garrett Mason, Aaron Duford, Cody Burbank, Joseph Clemmons, and Jacob Cottrell. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Cottrell and Johnathon McGee.
Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
