Richard Grubbs, age 85, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025, at his residence. Richard was a native of Pulaski, TN, and a retired supervisor from Murray Ohio. He had a passion for antique cars, motorcycles, and music, and was accomplished in several instruments.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm and Sally Will Stanford Grubbs, and three children, Tony Grubbs, Tammy Smith, and Terri Campbell. He is survived by his wife of eighteen years, Sue Grubbs of Lawrenceburg, TN; one daughter, Tecia Vaughn (Russ) of Franklin, TN; two sons, Scott McLean (Amanda) of Parrish, FL, and Blake McLean (Abby) of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Merideth Jones (Dewey) of Medina, TN, Grace Hinson of Dickson, TN, Harmony McLean, Caleb McLean, Emery Grace McLean, and James Thomas McLean; and two great-grandsons, Garrison Bellar and Samson Kent.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, and the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Friday, May 2, 2025, with Danny Huckaba officiating. Interment will follow at Old Ethridge Cemetery in Ethridge, TN. The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Richard will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, music, and cherished memories. May he rest in peace.
