James Richard Watson, age 85, of Dellrose, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026.
Life Summary
Jimmy was born March 2, 1941 in Frankewing, TN to Werner M. and Mattie McClure Watson. He was a retired bus driver and farmer who loved his cows, watching westerns, especially Bonanza, and sitting on the porch drinking coffee out of his O’Reily’s mug. Jimmy loved his family with his whole heart, his wife, children, grandchildren, and great granddaughter were his everything.

- daughter Melody Harris and husband Ryan of Pigeon Roost

- grandchildren Kayce Scoggins (Bailey), Cole Watson, Ashton McGill (Bethany Hone)
- great granddaughter Collins Scoggins
- numerous other relatives and friends

- Visitation will be 11am-2 pm Sunday March 8, 2026 at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with Funeral to follow at 2pm.
Burial
- Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
