Ronnie Joe Darnell, age 71, of Summertown, TN passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024. He was a native of Lewis County, TN, and worked for the Lewis County Highway Department for 20 years as Road Superintendent until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his family, riding his golf-cart, and watching the cows. Ronnie was a loving husband, father, and papa. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Ruby Ashmore Darnell; and son-in-law, Jason Haygood.
He is survived by his wife, Regina Smith Darnell; one daughter, Rhonda Haygood; and two grandchildren, Rhalyssa Haygood and Rhabecca Haygood, all of Summertown, TN.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at Hinestown Cemetery at 11:00 AM Monday, July 15, 2024. Condolences may be sent by way of our website at www.nealfuneralhome.net.
