Roy Milton Perry, age 92, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Friday, February 23, 2024, at NHC Healthcare of Lawrenceburg. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, co-owner of Perry Brothers Tractor Company for 50 years, a farmer, and a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Lawrenceburg Rotary Club and Crossroads of Dixie Antique Tractor & Engine Club. Mr. Perry also served as a Magistrate and on the Board of Directors for Truist Bank.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J. B. Perry, Sr., and Lula Gilbreath Perry; one sister; and five brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Martha Perry of Lawrenceburg, TN; two sons, Donnie Perry (Freda) and Tim A. Perry, both of Lawrenceburg, TN; four grandchildren, Lauren Breyette (Ryan) of Franklin, TN, Brett Perry (Nicole) of Culleoka, TN, Jed Perry (Amber) of Florence, AL, and Alexa Scott (Will) of Ethridge, TN; four great-grandchildren, Mason, Ashton, Dylan, and Sloane; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Moore, Lanny Evans, Buddy Looney, Colby Counce, Tim Johnston, and Duiane Rose. Those serving as honorary pallbearers will be the ones who serve the agricultural community of Lawrence County.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM Monday, February 26, 2024, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Monday, February 26, 2024, with Tommy Flood officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN. The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Condolences may be sent by way of our website at www.nealfuneralhome.net.
