Shelby Jean Shaffer Phillips, age 88, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Monday, April 29, 2024, at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, AL. She was a native of Lawrenceburg, TN, a retired beautician, and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, and quilting.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Wiley Shaffer, Sr. and Eunice Pearl Hill Shaffer; her husband, Franklin Delano Phillips; one daughter, Suzanne Fleeman; and one grandson, Nick Fleeman.
She is survived by one son, Neil Phillips (Jan) of Lawrenceburg, TN; son-in-law, Rick Fleeman of Lawrenceburg, TN; four grandchildren, Rachel Grigsby (Wes), Renee Fleeman (Nathan Becker), Tyler Phillips (Emily), and Tate Phillips, all of Lawrenceburg, TN; and four great-grandchildren, Graham May, Davis Phillips, Willow Grigsby, and Saylor Phillips.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 01, 2024, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 10:00 AM Thursday, May 02, 2024, with Reggie Coleman and Keith Durham officiating. Interment will follow at Ethridge Masonic Cemetery in Ethridge, TN. Condolences may be sent by way of our website at www.nealfuneralhome.net.
