Virginia E. “Jennie” Nash, 94, of Leoma, TN, passed away on August 3, 2025, at NHC Healthcare Scott in Lawrenceburg, TN. Born in Lawrence County, TN, she was a retired clerk from the National Store. Jennie was known for her love of quilting, gardening, canning, and cooking for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bonnie McCoy and Rosie Bell Smith Hardiman; her husband, Marion Lewis Nash; one brother, Smith Daniel Hardiman; two grandchildren, Stacy Smith and Annabelle Smith; and son-in-law, W. C. Smith.
Jennie is survived by her daughter, Brenda K. Smith of Lawrenceburg, TN; son, Terry L. Nash (Cindy) of Lawrenceburg, TN; three grandchildren, Jason Smith (Sasha), Derek Smith (Bea), and Kady Nash Green (Carter); eight great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren, and one on the way.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Crossroads Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at Crossroads Freewill Baptist Church at 3:00 PM on the same day, with interment to follow at Crossroads Cemetery in Leoma, TN.
