William Dale Hess, 87, of Toney, AL, passed away on January 21, 2026. Born in Scottsboro, AL, Dale was a retired Accountant and a proud United States Naval Veteran. He found joy in playing golf, selling used cars, and watching various sports.
Dale is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Kaye Burks Hess, his sons William Todd Hess and Christopher Joey Hess, and his cherished daughter-in-law Michelle Hess. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Christopher Ryan Hess and Christian Daniel Hess (Laci).
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Cal Hess and Ora Childress Hess, and his brother C.G. Hess.
A graveside service to honor Dale’s life will be held at a later date, with arrangements entrusted to Greenhill Funeral Home.
Dale will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service to his country, and his passion for life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
