Antonio “Tony” Santini, 88, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on Saturday, February 15th, 2025, at home surrounded by loved ones after a brief illness. Born on September 18th, 1936, in Siderno Marina, Reggio Calabria, Italy, Tony grew up playing soccer and fishing in the Ionian Sea before joining the Italian Merchant Marines and eventually immigrating to the United States. He settled in Massachusetts, where he met his wife of 61 years, and later moved to Tennessee, where he started a family and became a successful entrepreneur.
Tony is survived by his wife, Lucille Medeiros Santini, his children, and grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews who cared deeply for him. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Lawrenceburg, with a rosary to follow. The funeral Mass will be conducted at the same church on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, with interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be sent to Sacred Heart Catholic School of Lawrenceburg, TN, Alzheimer’s Association – Tennessee Chapter, or Make Today Count Cancer Support Group.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.
