Clara White, age 86, of Summertown, TN passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at NHC Healthcare of Lawrenceburg. She was a native of Crestview in Summertown, TN, and retired from Walmart. Her hobbies included sewing, cooking, and taking care of her animals. She also enjoyed shopping at thrift stores and yard sales.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilburn “Gooch” and Mary Blair Shaffer; her husband, Alon Ray White, Sr.; one son, Alon Ray White, Jr.; and one daughter, Connie Whisenant.
She is survived by one daughter, Gina Whitwell (David) of Mt. Pleasant, TN; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Linda Perry of Summertown, TN.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at John Lay Cemetery in Ethridge, TN at 3:00 PM Tuesday, May 28, 2024. Condolences may be sent by way of our website at www.nealfuneralhome.net.
