Connie Sue Spurlock, age 74, of Lexington, AL, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026, after a long battle with illness. She was known for her heart of gold and unwavering love for her family and friends. Sue was a devoted wife, mother, nana, sister, and friend, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Sue was preceded in death by her father, Houston Holden, step-father William Thigpen, mother Ruby Holden Thigpen, and brothers Lenice Eugene Holden, Jimmy O. Holden, and Lonnie K. Holden.
She is survived by her loving husband, Howard Spurlock, daughters Bridgett Meek (Keith) and Cathy Huett (David), son Dwayne Spurlock, sister Ann Gray (Harold), 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and one on the way.
A memorial service will be held for Sue on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The family extends their gratitude to Gentiva Hospice for their exceptional care and to Greenhill Funeral Home for their assistance.
Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Sue’s memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched with her love and kindness.
