Connie Joan Cotton, age 70, of Loretto, TN, passed away on Wednesday, October 8th, 2025 at her home in Loretto. Connie was born on September 24th, 1955 to the late Johnny Coman Gardner and Alberta Smith Gardner. She attended Highland Park Baptist Church. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, especially to the mountains, cooking and hosting gatherings, bargain shopping, and spending time with her loving family and friends. Connie is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, David Cotton; sons, David Lee Cotton (Kimberly) and Timmy Cotton (Stacy); grandchildren, Aaron (Valerie), Kaylee (Dakota), Logan, Addison, Kierstin, Bentley, and Oaklynn; great-grandchildren, Isaac, Maya, and Neveah; brother, Jimmy Gardner; sisters, Imogene Gardner Gevet, and Margaret Ann Gardner Morrison. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Gardner. Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 14th, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 14th, 2025 beginning at 1:00 p.m. Brother T.R. Williams and Brother Ricky Cotton will be officiating. Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be handling all final arrangements.
