Lois Caperton Butler, 90, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on January 30, 2026, at Southern TN Regional Health System. She was a retired CNA from NHC Healthcare Scott and was of the Baptist Faith. Lois was known for her love for her grandchildren and her enjoyment of watching hummingbirds.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Spurgeon (Scott); three grandsons, Andrew, Chaide, and Tyler Spurgeon; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Stanley and Frank Caperton; and one sister, Ruth Hayes.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, four sisters, and maternal grandparents.
The family will receive friends at Neal Funeral Home on February 2, 2026, and funeral services will be conducted at the same location. Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be sent through the funeral home’s website. Lois will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
