Born on November 24, 1946, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, to the late David Larry Kennedy, Sr. and Martha Jean Kennedy, David was a retired CEO of a private equities firm. He was known for his leadership, innovation, and dedication to those he mentored and served. David was a devoted father, grandfather, partner, and friend. He is survived by his engaged partner, Gloria Jean Thayer, his children Shana Leigh Kennedy and Daniel Steele Kennedy, and his sister, Karen Kennedy. David will be remembered for his unwavering integrity, love for family, and ability to bring calm and confidence to every chapter of life. A graveside service will be held at John Lay Cemetery in Ethridge, Tennessee, on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Condolences may be sent through the Neal Funeral Home website.
