Elvis M. “Putt” Putman, 85, of Anderson, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hartie Franklin and Clara Lena Ritter Putman, as well as his siblings: “Ted” Sedric Putman, Hulune Putman, Carine Putman Nix, Hartie JR Putman, Mayburn Putman, Bradley Putman, and Travis Putman.
Putt is survived by his sister, Sue Putman Nix; brother, Ray Putman; eleven nieces and nephews; and special friends, Rodger and Teresa Crowden. He was also blessed with the loving care of his dear friend and caregiver, Jayden Darby, for the past two years. The family extends special thanks to Affinity Hospice for their exceptional care and support during this time.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 2-3 PM at Nebo Cumberland Presbyterian Church, followed by a funeral service at 3 PM with Bro. Terry Sanderson officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will include Tim Nix, Edmund Crowden, Will Crowden, Jordan Crowden, Andy Wallace, and Justin Hibner.
