George Daniel “Danny” Carter, 69, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025, surrounded by loving cousins. Born in Nashville, TN, he was a lifelong native of Lawrenceburg. Danny worked at Son Osborne Pet Store as a teenager and retired from Goodwill. He was a devoted member of First United Methodist Church and had a passion for flea markets and Braves baseball.
Preceded in death by his parents, Judge Claude Alexander and Marymaud Killen Carter, aunt Sarah Killen Whitlow, aunt and caregiver Betty Killen Hall, and cousin Ronnie Whitlow. He is survived by his loving cousin and caregiver of 30 years, Connie Austin, along with several other cousins, special friend Bobby Glenn Goff, and Chris Austin, who was like a brother to him.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, with visitation on August 9, 2025, and funeral services conducted by Dr. Joey Reed. Interment will follow at Mimosa Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN.
